Spring!

Image
Blossom is a sure sign that Spring is finally here. If you live somewhere like New England (like I do), it is definitely a welcome relief that there won't be any sub-freezing temperatures and snow storms (well, at least not for the next six months). Taken on the esplanade in Boston. Categories: myPhotos , flickr

The British are coming

Image
Getting up at 5am isn't something that I want to make a habit of, but in this case I think it was worth it. The annual Patriots Day reenactment is held in Lexington, Massachusetts . To be authentic, the reenactment is held at the same time as the original event (dawn). Paul Revere gallops on his horse to warn the Patriots that the British troops are on their way. The resulting skirmish between the Redcoats and Rebels happened on Lexington Green. I was amazed how many people are willing to get up at such an early hour. I took a few photos, the best of which I put into a flickr set. I am quite pleased that at last I have some photos of people, rather than empty scenery. See my flickr set here .
